Mondelez International is expanding its Philadelphia brand in the UK with the launch of the Philadelphia Duo Cremoso range.

The product contains an outer layer of Philadelphia cream cheese surrounding a flavoured “whipped core”.

It comes paper-wrapped so it is “ready to lift out and serve”, Mondelez said. The company is targeting evening snacking and “dinner table consumption”.

Philadelphia Duo Cremoso consists of three varieties: garlic and fine herbs; vine ripened tomatoes; and cracked peppercorn.

The launch will be supported by a GBP2.5m (US$4m) marketing budget, the company revealed.
