A question mark has been raised over the relationship between UK frozen food chain Iceland and retailer British Home Stores (Bhs) after it emerged that Iceland will close concessions within five Bhs stores.
Iceland had signed an ambitious agreement with Bhs to open as many as 100 concessions over the next six years.
An Iceland spokeswoman told Retail Week that the closures are “the result of a reassessment by Bhs of appropriate store formats”. She insisted that “the other four Iceland Bhs concessions will continue to trade”.
