British branded food producer and marketer RHM Ltd has announced the appointment of Ian McMahon as COO of its customer solutions division.
McMahon will join RHM on 1 September from ICI Paints, where he was Regional CEO for the US. Prior to that, he was its Regional CEO for Europe. Before joining ICI, he was MD of Grand Metropolitan Foods in the UK.
McMahon’s appointment completes the RHM senior management team following the recent restructuring of the business into three divisions run by COOs.
The customer solutions division principally provides customised solutions for key strategic partners operating in the foodservice or food retail market sector and to a number of specialist food market channels.
Headed the consumer brands division, which specialises in selling and marketing a range of leading branded products in the retail grocery food sector, is Peter Baker. Its product portfolio consists of well-known UK brands such as Mr Kipling cakes, Cadbury’s cakes, Lyons cakes, Sharwood’s Asian sauces and accompaniments, Bisto gravy, Paxo stuffing mixes and Saxa salt.

By GlobalDataMiles Warnick is meanwhile COO of the Bread Bakeries division, one of the two largest plant bakers and flour millers in the UK. Bread Bakeries produces an average of 16 million fresh wrapped loaves per week from a UK network of 18 bakeries and makes an average of 60,000 product deliveries per week. RHM’s wrapped bread is marketed under leading brand names such as Hovis, Mother’s Pride, Nimble and Granary.
All three COOs will report to Paul Wilkinson, RHM chairman and CEO, CFO Michael Schurch and Michael Woodmore, group services director.
