Heinz has announced the recall of a batch of 100% apple & pear purée in 90g pouches, sold in four-pack cartons for toddlers.

The company said that the recall was a “precautionary step” taken because a small number of pouches within a single batch have been found to leak.
The batch code affected is L9286, with a best-before date of 11/01/11.
Parents and carers are being advised not to use the product.
