Cornish pasty maker Ginsters has signed a three-year character licensing agreement with multimedia company Galleon Holdings for the principal characters from its animation property, The Cornish Riviera Pasties.

The Cornish-based company intends to use the character license to develop a range of products suitable for younger consumers outside their traditional 18-35 year old market.
Fistral Freddie, Porthmeor Pete, Malibu Mike and Bondi Bruce, a cool quartet of surfing dudes from the UK animated television series, will appear on Cornish pasties and other savoury goods designed to appeal to children, both in terms of appearance and taste, with all products being made from fresh produce sourced locally in Cornwall.
