Frozen food specialist Findus has again teamed up with French chef Jean-Christophe Novelli to launch a limited-edition range of dishes.
The Novelli range will hit shelves next month in a bid to offer more “indulgent” products to consumers.
“Our relationship with Jean-Christophe Novelli began in 2007 when we launched the first range,” said a spokesperson for Findus. “It became such a success we decided to design a limited-edition range.
“When Findus were taken over by Geir Frantzen in 2006, he was looking for a partnership with a chef who believed strongly in freezing foods and to bring out an indulgent range that would help lift the brand and the name. Freezing food is something Jean-Christophe feels very strongly about and is a method his mother used for her family growing up. He believes it is a great way of preserving food without the need for lots of colouring and preservatives.”
The new recipes will include a twist on British classics such as caramelised cider pork belly, as well as dishes such as salmon harissa and Mediterranean vegetable piperade.
