Nearly 200 workers at food manufacturer Dearne Valley Foods are facing an uncertain future after their South Yorkshire factory burnt down.
The fire began in a fat fryer and the 30 workers who were on shift at the time got out safely.
A spokesman for the scotch egg and sandwich producer said: “We are currently assessing the situation, the damage to the site and what all of that means.
We plan to transfer some production across to our alternative site. We will brief our employees first when we know how we plan to move forward from here.”
