Daylesford Organic has announced CEO Jamie Mitchell is to leave the UK firm after four years at the helm.

Mitchell will stand down at the end of March to pursue other interests, the company said in a statement.

“The time is right for my next adventure. I am leaving the businesses in positions of great strength, with experienced leadership teams and exciting growth plans,” said Mitchell.

Speaking to just-food, a spokesperson said there were “no immediate plans to replace Jamie”. The spokesperson added: “As Jamie says, we have a strong leadership team headed by Nick Fletcher, our financial director, already in place.”

Daylesford sells organic meat, fruit, vegetables and bakery and dairy products. It headquarters in Gloucestershire and it supplies products across the UK, including via online retailer Ocado, and in Japan
