Upmarket vinegar supplier Aspall has today (29 November) extended its balsamic vinegar range to include an additional variant.

The apple & cranberry balsamic vinegar has been rolled out to Waitrose stores nationwide. The company said the launch “builds on the popularity of Aspall’s apple balsamic vinegar”.

A spokesperson for Aspall said there are no plans to introduce the product at other retailers yet but more retailers could be revealed in spring.

Geoff Bradman, joint managing director at Aspall said: “Our new Aspall Apple & Cranberry Balsamic Vinegar has been designed to add a point of difference to the speciality vinegar market and to enhance consumers’ recipes this Christmas.”

The new vinegar marries two incredibly popular elements: the Balsamic sector is the largest part of the speciality vinegar market and the most accessible, and cranberries are the fruit most associated with the festive season.”

With an RRP of GBP2.19 (US$3.42), Aspall apple & cranberry balsamic vinegar is sold in a 250ml bottle in Waitrose outlets nationwide, initially until March.
