Turkish food group Tat Gida has reported an increase in revenue and earnings for the first nine months of 2014.
Operating profit grew 38.3% to TRL48.2m (US$21.3m) on the back of higher sales, which were up 17.1% at TRY611.5m.
The improved revenue came in part from rising volumes. Tat Gida said its sales volumes increased 7.7%, with volumes from its combined tomato paste and canned foods unit growing by over a fifth.
Proceeds from the sale of assets in the meat sector boosted Tat Gida’s net profit. For the nine months to 30 September, Tat Gida booked a net profit of TRY143.1m, up from TRY13.3m a year earlier.
