Turkish food firm Tat Gida Sanayi has taken further steps to exit the meat business, announcing the divestment of its stake in local livestock company Harranova to US agriculture and tomato paste giant Morningstar.
A stock exchange filing revealed the firm, along with its holding group Koc Holding, will sell their 90% stake to Morningstar in a TRL6.3m deal. The deal will see Morningstar take complete control of Harranova.
Earlier in the week, Tat Gida announced the sale of its meat business to rival Namet Gida for US$75m.
Tat Gida and Koc Holding were unavailable for comment when approached by just-food.
