India’s Britannia Industries has launched a range of biscuits under the brand name Britannia Lanka in Sri Lanka.
Local food group Luckyland Biscuits will manufacture the biscuits under licence.
Commenting on the move, Britannia Lanka VP Atul Sinha said: “Sri Lanka has a very high annual per capita consumption of biscuits… we chose Sri Lanka due to this discerning and sophisticated nature”.
