Food giant Campofrío Alimentacion revealed earlier this morning [Thursday] that net profit for its H1 2002 reached €5.26m (US$5.18m), an increase of 46% from €3.6m year on year.
The Spanish firm also reported EBIT up 22% to €17m, compared to €13.9m.
Revenue for the period fell to €691.8m from €730m, however the company said that this was expected due to an accident which caused a cutback in its fresh meat business, and the closure of its Arganda de Madrid plant.
