Russian juice and dairy giant Wimm-Bill-Dann has said it is in talks with some of the world’s biggest food and beverage companies over possible tie-ups or asset sales.
“We are constantly in talks with Groupe Danone, Nestlé SA, PepsiCo and the like over possible cooperation,” Wimm-Bill-Dann chairman David Yakobashvili was quoted by Dow Jones News as saying.
He added that cooperation could take the form of joint production deals or a sale of a stake in Wimm-Bill-Dann to one of the companies.
“There is no need for us to be a closed company – we are open for suggestions and believe we can achieve a lot more via cooperation,” Yakobashvili said.
