Russian retailer Seventh Continent saw full-year sales jump almost 18% last year, the company announced today (21 January).


The company, which operates 127 stores predominantly in Moscow, posted like-for-like sales growth of 17.8%. On a consolidated basis, sales rose 32% to US$1.4bn.


CEO Galina Ilyashenko said the company was “satisfied” with the results.


“The year passed was very important for us in establishing the fundamental base for mid-term development strategy of the company in the supermarket as well as the hypermarket format,” Ilyashenko added.
