Russian retailer Dixy has recorded an increase in revenues for the first half of the year.
In the six months to the end of June, net sales reached RUR87.37bn (US$2.6bn), a 23.3% increase on the prior-year period. The figure, when adjusted for a leap year effect as its stores operated two days less than in the comparable period, was up 24.7%.
Like-for-like sales grew 4.2% in the period but footfall was down 0.9%, Russia’s third-largest food retailer said.
In the six-month period, Dixy opened 133 stores and closed 25 stores. Its current store count is 1,607.
