French retail giant Carrefour plans to expand its store count in Romania, with the opening of additional stores in the country’s capital.
“We confirm to you that Carrefour Romania will open ten new supermarkets in Bucharest,” a spokesperson for the group told just-food today (21 April).
However, the company has remained tight-lipped over its strategy for growth in the market and declined to comment on whether it was focusing expansion on the country’s industrial and financial centres.
“We can not give you more details about the expanding in this market,” the spokesperson insisted.
