Portuguese supermarket group Jeronimo Martins has reported a 66% rise in nine-month net profit to €58.1m (US$74.1m).
Sales were €2.53bn for the first nine months of the year, compared to €2.52bn in the same period of the previous year.
The company said the higher net profit was due to good operating results and lower charges. Jeronimo Martins is Portugal’s second-largest retailer and also has operations in Poland.
