Polish food group Agros Nova is preparing to enter the frozen food category, with new product launches under its Lowicz brand planned for this autumn.
Lowicz is the largest brand for sauces in jars and the third-largest ready meals brand in Poland.
A spokesperson for the company confirmed to just-food that the group is planning to launch a range of frozen products, but did not disclose what would be on offer.
According to reports, it is estimated that Agros Nova is investing PLN50m in the move.
It was also announced today (27 August) that Agros Nova has acquired Polish businesses owned by Orkla Brands International. This deal will see Agros Nova take on the Kotlin and Elbro businesses, which do have interests in frozen foods.
