PepsiCo has launched a range of muesli under its Quaker Oats porridge brand in the UK.
The company said it had developed the muesli to “stimulate” the segment and “appeal to over 45s in particular”.
The muesli is available in a 650g re-sealable stand-up pouches and comes in three flavours – strawberry; nuts and seeds; and dates and coconut.
PepsiCo is also rolling out a line-up of “breakfast pouches” in the UK to meet what the group said is increasing demand for “convenient on-the-go breakfast options”.
The Quaker Oat & Fruit Breakfast, containing oats, fruit purée and natural yogurt in 200g pouches, “offers a complete breakfast solution”, Quaker said.
The new products, which will initially be available in Tesco stores only, are available in three flavours – red fruits; apple and cinnamon; and blueberry – “each of which provides a source of fibre and contains no added sugar”.
