Norwegian salmon is loosing its share of the European market as competition increases from Scotland, Chile and the Faroe Islands.

Consumer demand for salmon has actually increased by 15% in recent months throughout Europe, but analysts believe that other exporter countries are better than Norway at marketing their produce.

According to reports in the Dagens Naeringsliv newspaper, the share of the market enjoyed by Norwegian salmon has plummeted from 64% to 54% in just six months.
