Nestle today (7 March) announced plans to shut a factory in the Austrian city of Linz.
The Maggi owner said the site, which makes “culinary products”, has been “confronted with demand and production declines for many years due to changes in consumption trends”.
Nestle said 127 staff would be affected by the closure, which is being lined up by March next year.
The world’s largest food maker insisted its “position in Austria remains extremely strong”. The company employs about 1,000 people at 16 sites in the country.
