Parmalat, the Italian dairy giant, insisted today (18 July) that it remains in talks with the country’s fourth-largest bank over a settlement linked to its financial collapse in 2003.
Reports in Italy claimed that Unicredit had agreed to pay Parmalat EUR300m to settle all legal claims against the bank.
However, Parmalat said today that, although it is in “concrete talks” with Unicredit, no agreement had been struck.
