G. WIlli-Foods, Israel’s largest importer and distributor of kosher foods, has said that it is facing two class action suits over the reduction of tuna content in its containers.
The complaints allege that the company mislead customers by charging the same price for containers which hold less tuna than before. The class action complaints seek damages of NIS4.48m (US$1.07m) and NIS3.92m.
Willi-Food has said that it believes both suits to be without merit, adding that it intends to vigerously defend against the litigation.
