Irish-based food company Carbery has grouped its international flavours and ingredients businesses together under the name Synergy.

Carbery said the new company draws together the expertise, experience and resources of Synergy Flavours, Customblend Ingredients, US Flavors & Fragrances and Carbery Savoury Food Ingredients. It has been created in response to the global need for creativity and innovation in the development of new tastes in a wide range of food, beverage and nutritional products.
The company’s product portfolio comprises natural, nature-identical, organic and suitable for organic flavours for sweet and savoury applications; and a wide array of savoury ingredients, such as dry blend sauce mixes, bouillons, gravies, seasonings, fillings and yeast extracts and compounds. Synergy’s products are found in baked foods, confectionery, desserts, fruit preparations, dairy products, beverages, ready meals, soups and sauces, snacks, and seasonings and coatings.
“The market is developing so quickly,” said James Astor, Synergy’s managing director in the UK. “Joining together these four well-established businesses gives us the ability to provide a truly integrated solution for manufacturers looking to create outstanding tastes.”
