Fresh Hemp Foods, a Canadian hemp food specialist, has broadened its wellness foods portfolio with the acquisition of US-based snack brand The Humble Seed.
Financial details have not been disclosed.
Winnipeg-based Fresh Hemp Foods, which owns the Manitoba Harvest brand, said it plans to expand The Humble Seed range of products across grocery stores and e-commerce outlets in North America.
The Humble Seed, a better-for-you snack brand founded in 2022, offers a range of seed-based crackers made with six ‘super seeds’, including hemp.
Its products are currently sold through retailers including Sprouts, HEB and The Fresh Market, as well as via e-commerce sites including Amazon.
Its crackers are grain-free, gluten-free, and non-GMO project verified and come in three flavours.
