Australian fruit canner SPC Ardmona came to Paris international food show SIAL with a range of 120g plastic fruit snack pots, complete with sporks (combined spoon/fork) in the lids.
The 11-strong range of fruit salads and purées builds on its existing range of retorted plastic fruit products, which started with the now-familiar Fridge Fruit, packed in square dumpy two-pound (1.2kg) polybottles.
Eighteen months ago, SPC Ardmona was acquired by Coca-Cola Amatil, which holds an 80% stake in the business. Wherever appropriate, product for the European market is packed in Spain, under license.
