Findus Group has launched a raft of products in France as part of plans to increase its sales in the market by 10% over the next five years.

The frozen-food company’s vegetable offering, which to date has been limited to spinach in France, is being extended to peas, carrots, cauliflower and green beans presented in sachet-sealed portions.

Findus is also marking its entry into the ready-meals pasta market with two varieties – bolognaise and curried chicken. Greater diversity in its fish range sees the introduction of cod and sole fillets and a pan-fried rice and hake dish.

The company, meanwhile, has added microwaveable potato wedges seasoned with herbs to its Crousti Express range.

Findus expects to report a turnover of EUR210m (US$299.2m) in France this year, an increase of 8% on 2010.

It has also announced a move into five new market categories by 2014 but information on their identity will not be disclosed until early next year, a spokesperson said.
