Danish chewing gum manufacturer Dandy has changed its name to Gumlink after selling its chewing gum production to Cadbury Schweppes.

UK food and beverages giant Cadbury Schweppes acquired Dandy’s chewing gum production, which includes the V6, Dirol and Stimorol brands, for DKr2.6bn (US$342.6m) in the summer of 2002.

Dandy started chewing gum production back in 1927 and has been named “Dandy” since 1939.

The newly named company Gumlink aims to become a sub-supplier to food and pharmaceutical companies, reported the Danish News Digest.
