Danone-owned organic baby food business Happy Family is expanding its range in the US to include a number of nutritional products aimed at supporting infants and breastfeeding.
The new Happy Baby Organic Infant Formula is “modelled after breast milk and meets the nutritional levels recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics”, Danone said.

By GlobalDataThe new line contains “key vitamins and nutrients that are naturally found in breast milk, including calcium, vitamin D, iron, zinc, choline and DHA/ARA”, the company said.
“More notably, the Happy Baby Organic Infant Formula has up to four times more prebiotics than any other organic infant formula on the US market. Prebiotics, fibres found naturally in abundance in breast milk, promote healthy bacteria in infants.”
In addition, Danone has unveiled a line of Happy Mama Breastfeeding Support products. These include Lactation Oat bars – blended with “gluten-free whole grain oats, flax and fenugreek with organic fruits and nuts, to support breastfeeding and provide a boost of extra nutrition”. The new Happy Mama Breastfeeding Support Probiotic Supplement “contains a unique, patented strain that supports breast health to help maintain breast-feeding ability”, Danone said.
All the new products are available online and at baby provisions stores and selected grocery retailers nationwide. Happy Baby Organic Infant Formula, Stage 1 and Stage 2, retails for US$29.99, Happy Mama Breastfeeding Support Lactation Oat Bars retail for $1.99 each and Happy Mama Breastfeeding Support Probiotic Supplement retails for $17.49 (21-pack).
