Polish food consortium Mokate has acquired Czech coffee-to-snack group Marila Balírny for an undisclosed sum.
The consortium said the deal strengthens its position in Central Europe, where in already owns Dukát and Timex in the Czech Republic along with seven food companies in Hungary, Slovakia and Ukraine combined.
According to head of Marila in the Czech Republic, Zbynek Skopalík, Mokate and Marila’s combined turnover could reach CZK1bn (US$48m).
