Cloetta has appointed Frans Ryden as chief financial officer of the Sweden-based confectioner to replace Danko Maras.

As previously announced in March, Maras is set to leave the Candyking owner on 16 July to join credit management business Intrum as CFO. Ryden will assume his new role on 1 December.

Cloetta said in a statement today (18 May) that an interim ”financial organisation” will oversee operations from 16 July until Ryden takes up his new position.

Ryden is vice president for finance at European dairy giant Arla Foods. He previously spent more than 14 years at Mondelez International, including a stint as CFO for India Indonesia.

The incoming CFO will report to chief executive Henri de Sauvage-Nolting, who said: “I am very happy to welcome Frans Ryden to Cloetta’s group management. He has a solid and proven track record from various finance positions in the fast moving consumer goods industry.”

Concurrently, Cloetta said Johnny Engman, senior vice president for corporate development and M&A, has decided to leave the company to take up a role as CFO/COO at “another company”.
