Carrefour SA has unveiled plans to acquire at least ten retailing companies in China, reported Dow Jones Newswires.
Chairman of the board at Carrefour, Jean Luc Chereau, told the news service that the company aims to open 20 stores in the country this year, in addition to the 75 it owns there already.
He reportedly said that the best way for Carrefour to develop its business in China was “city by city” and “province by province”.
