The CFO of Canadian natural and organic food maker SunOpta will leave the business at the end of the month.

Eric Davis has decided to step down from his role “to pursue other opportunities”, SunOpta said on Friday (10 June).

Davis will leave SunOpta on 30 June and the company said its outgoing finance chief would be “available to provide support on transitional matters” until then.

President and CEO Steve Bromley will serve as SunOpta’s “principal financial officer” until the company find a replacement for Davis. Bromley’s ten-year stint at SunOpta has included two years as CFO between 2001 and 2003.

SunOpta said it was looking at internal and external candidates for a new CFO.
