Canadian food giant McCain Foods has named Dale F. Morrison as president and CEO of the company, with global responsibility for all McCain Group companies and operations, effective 1 June.


Morrison’s industry experience includes ten years with General Foods, 14 years with PepsiCo and five years with the Campbell Soup Company. He served as CEO and president of Campbell’s from 1997 to 2000. Most recently, Morrison has been an operating partner with Fenway Partners, a New York private equity firm.


As president and CEO of McCain Foods, Morrison will work out of the company’s corporate office in Toronto. The international headquarters and Canadian headquarters of McCain Foods will continue to be in Florenceville, New Brunswick.


Morrison will succeed current CEO Howard Mann, who is to retire, having been at the helm of McCain Foods since 1995.
