For the first time since its foundation over a century ago, Canadian food manufacturer Dare Foods will be headed up by someone outside the Dare family.
Fred Jacques, formerly an employee of Labatt Brewing and Kellogg, is to head up the cookie, cracker and sugar confectionery company, Dare Foods announced earlier this week.
Jacques succeeds Graham Dare, who succeeded his father Carl as president when the latter retired in the spring after 61 years in his post.
Graham and his brother Bryan Dare, previously former vice-president, remain actively involved in the company, serving as co-chairmen on the board of directors, reported the Calgary Herald.
