Canadian snack firm Dare Foods has launched a line of on-the-go sweet snacks.
The Boulangerie Grissol Sweet Thins are toasted slices of bakery-style loaves available in three flavours: Banana Bread, Chocolate Brownie and Lemon Poppy Seed. Portion packaged, the product is designed as an accompaniment to hot beverages.
“Snacking is an enjoyable part of Canadians’ lives. We wanted to make a product that is delicious without being high in calories, that Canadians could enjoy while on the go,” said Kelly McInenly, senior director bakery marketing, Dare Foods. “We also wanted to create a snack that stands out from others on the market.”
The snacks contain 80 calories and no artificial flavours, colours, cholesterol or trans fat. They have a suggested retail price of US$2.99.
