Dairy Partners of America, the 50-50 joint venture between Fonterra and Nestlé, is planning to build a yoghurt plant in Brazil.


“We see great and growing demand for dairy products in Latin America,” a spokesperson for the group told just-food. “To meet this local demand we are expanding our manufacturing capability.”


The plant will be located in the Bahia region and the yoghurt manufactured will be tailored to meet the local population’s tastes.


Dairy Partners of America operates 13 production sites in Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador.
