Mexican bakery giant Bimbo has opened a new factory in the Brazilian province of Minas Gerais as it continues to court consumers in Latin America’s largest economy.
The Mexico City-based firm said the new factory will make bread and pastries for its Pullman and Plus Vita brands and employ 150 people.
The move is “strategic because of the importance of Minas Gerais as Brazil’s fourth-largest state,” said Bimbo Brasil general manager Alvaro Marci.
