Australian firm Kez’s Kitchen has developed gluten-free cereal snacks to cater for demand for on-the-go lines after it launched a breakfast cereal last year.
The family-owned business has introduced a range of cereal snacks, bites and bars.
The company also said two of the lines are low in fructose and certified as “FODMAP-friendly”, suitable it said for consumers suffering from symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. The so-called FODMAP diet has been proposed as a way to reduce the symptoms of IBS.
MD Michael Carp said: “While cereal based, these snacks and bites aren’t strictly a breakfast food. When our cereal first launched in Coles last year, we were flooded with emails from customers who enjoyed it so much, they would eat it throughout the day – we knew then that the snack range had to become a reality.”
Kez’s Kitchen has secured listings in Woolworths and Coles for the new products.
