Amira Nature Foods has announced it has hired consultancy Brio Financial Group to assist the UAE-based, US-listed rice supplier when chief financial officer Varun Sethi departs.

Sethi’s last day will be 30 June.

Amira Nature Foods said Brio will aid its effort to “westernise its corporate finance and executive team” while the company focuses on the international growth of its brands.

San Francisco-based Brio, which will also support the company’s ongoing financial reporting, has nearly two decades of experience in assisting private and public companies in financial reporting, internal control development and evaluation, budgeting and forecasting.

Sethi, who has served as the company’s CFO since August 2017, will assist in the orderly transition of his CFO responsibilities.

Founded in 1915, today Amira sells its products in over more than 40 countries. It sells Basmati rice and long-grain rice under its flagship Amira brand as well as under third party brands.
