Seattle-based coffeehouse giant Starbucks Corporation has reported consolidated net revenues of US$323m for the five-week period ended 30 June 2002, an increase of 25% on the US$259m recorded in the same period in 2001.
On a comparable store sales basis (stores open for at least 13 months), sales at company-operated stores increased 7% for the month, year on year.
For the 39 weeks ended 30 June 2002, consolidated net revenues were US$2.4bn, an increase of 24% on the US$2bn recorded in the same period in FY 2001. Comparable store sales were up 6% for the year to date, as compared to the same 39-week period in FY 2001.
