Wolfgang Confectioners, a US-based private-label supplier, is expanding its manufacturing plant in Loganville, Pennsylvania.

The 78,000-square-foot extension will create 30 jobs, adding to the 155 people employed across the company’s two sites, with the other being a confectionery incubator plant located in York County serving customers looking to launch new products.

While the investment, which will take the total acreage to 140,000 sq ft, has not been disclosed, local media have quoted “officials” as saying it is a multi-million dollar project. The new production capacity is expected to come on line by March.

Originally founded in 1921 as Wolfgang Candy Company, it changed names earlier this year to reflect a realigned operational focus away from fundraising and customer service to co-manufacturing products for other brands and companies.

President Sam Miller commented on social media: “The new facility will allow us to expand our manufacturing capabilities at our Loganville location and enhance our ability to be a reliable, capable and innovative co-manufacturing partner.”
