New Zealand mega-dairy Fonterra faces angry representation from shareholders today [Thursday] as claims mount that the company is being run inefficiently.
Milk collection problems continue to dominate farmers’ concerns, reports stuff, which revealed that representatives of the shareholder council will meet with Fonterra in Hamilton and Te Awamutu. However, a spokeswoman for the company described the appointment as a routine supplier meeting.
Dairy Farmers of New Zealand chairman Kevin Wooding said last night: “We’re not getting the service we had before, and the liaison with the company is not good.”
