Three Farmers Foods, a Canadian SME supplying packaged lentil and chickpea products to grocers including Loblaw, has secured investment from a local fund and Canada’s export credit agency.
Golden Opportunities Fund, an investment fund managed by venture-capital firm Westcap Mgt. Ltd., and export credit agency Export Development Canada, have backed Three Farmers Foods, which is located in the central city of Saskatoon. Financial terms were not disclosed.

“Our investment will further support the ongoing growth of Three Farmers, as the company continues to grow its product lines, markets, customers and distribution channels all from right here at home,” Grant Kook, the president and CEO of Golden Opportunities Fund, said.
Three Farmers Foods was founded by three farmers and two local sisters Natasha Vandenhurk – the firm’s CEO – and Elysia Vandenhurk, its chief revenue officer.
