AarhusKarlshamn has opened a sales office in Shanghai and appointed Rick Luo as country manager for China.
The speciality vegetable oil producer said that Luo’s experience in the baby food industry, including his stint as manager for operational business development for Pfizer Nutrition’s China business, make him well-positioned to grow the group’s business in the region.

The opening of our China office is an important part of AAK’s growth strategy, “AAK Acceleration”, the company said. AAK wants to ramp up its local presence in emerging economies such as China in order to strengthen cooperation with customers, the company said.
“We are very pleased to be able to announce that we will strengthen AAK’s presence in China with a dedicated country organisation. This will significantly strengthen our ability to supply existing and potential new customers with our speciality oils and fats solutions and developing the good contacts already established in the Chinese market,” Friis Lange said.
