Kellogg has created a new division handling its operations in Russia and certain other emerging markets.

Elizabeth Fleuriot will head Kellogg’s units in Russia and markets including Turkey, the Middle East and Africa, although the company’s business in South Africa will be run separately.

A spokesperson for Kellogg told just-food today (21 April) that the new division has been designed to ensure the company is “able to focus on delivering growth in these markets”.

The move is part of a realignment of Kellogg’s European operations. The realignment has created three divisions, all reporting to Kellogg Europe president Stephen Twaddell.

As well as Fleuriot’s division, Kellogg has created two others – one for the UK and Ireland and one for continental Europe.

Kellogg’s business in Russia was previously part of its continental Europe division. The spokesperson said Russia would be run alongside other emerging markets as the company’s business there has “similar challenges and opportunities” to some of the group’s other emerging markets.

Kellogg’s operations in key emerging markets like China and India remain part of the company’s Asia Pacific division.

Fleuriot’s previous role was as CEO of Kellogg’s French and Benelux division. She will be replaced by Francois Rouilly, who was previously vice president of marketing for Europe.
