UK: Arla Foods launches olive oil spread

Arla Foods plans to extend its Lurpak range in the UK with an olive oil spread.

The dairy group revealed today (22 July) that Lurpak Spreadable Lighter with Olive Oil will be available from the end of the month.

It said the product will capitalise on the trend for healthier dairy products and builds on Lurpak’s “Good Food Deserves” campaign, which was launched at the end of last year.

“The launch of our Lurpak Spreadable Lighter with Olive Oil product demonstrates our commitment to developing products that respond to the growing consumer trend for healthier products, while also encouraging consumers to trial new and exciting products made with quality ingredients,” said Lurpak brand manager Samantha Peel.

Lurpak Spreadable Lighter with Olive Oil will be available in a 500g tub format with a MRRP of GBP2.98 (US$4.85).
