Dairy group Lactalis McLelland is launching its Seriously range of Scottish-made cheese in Japan.

Local distributor Murakawa will handle a slew of Seriously cheeses to 350 stores throughout the country.

Sylvia Ciszewski, international development co-ordinator at Lactalis McLelland, said:  “We have developed specific labels for Japan, with the description of the usage and characteristics of the product in Japanese; enabling the consumer to understand the differences between the cheeses in the range.”

With cheese in Japan sold in smaller sizes, packs are available in 110g, 170g, 350g, and 1kg quantities.
