Unilever has decided to shake up its US management structure in a bid to drive efficiency and to get closer to its customers.
The Anglo-Dutch conglomerate has created a “food business team” to be led by Amanda Sourry. The unit will run all of Unilever’s food brands in the US, except its ice cream portfolio.
Unilever has also set up a “consumer and customer solutions” unit, which will look after functions including marketing and category management. Lisa Klauser, currently vice president, brand building and marketing excellence, will head up the division.
Unilever US president Kevin Havelock said: “Amanda’s proven track record, coupled with her depth of experience in brand management, innovation and business development, makes her a terrific choice to lead Unilever’s U.S. Foods Business Team.”
Havelock added: “Lisa has led our drive to turn shopper insights into actionable solutions.”
